«Just For The Record is a project initiated in 2015 by Myriam Arseneault-Goulet, Loraine Furter, Sarah Magnan and Mia Melvær. The four of us are coming from diverse artistic backgrounds like visual art, sculpture and graphic design, and working from several perspective as teaching, solo or collective practice.

The Project addressing how gender is represented in new media and writing/publishing tools like Wikipedia, and what influence this has on the way history is recorded and was created shortly after an Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon in March 2015»

Edit-a-table Recipes – Just For The Record Project in Kasko
Over the past years we have been arranging events addressing gender bias in the online rewriting of history, using Wikipedia as a case study to question the way we write, record and archive history today. Creating a welcoming space where all participants are comfortable to contribute, both physically as well as online, has always been an important part of our gatherings and one of the tools we have used for this purpose has been food. This time around we are interested in bringing food center stage, working on questions of collective writing through sharing and editing recipes together, and see them as a toolkit for organizing events with feminist perspectives and structures. Participants are welcome to take part in this collaborative cooking table by bringing food, tools and tips to edit and spice up the recipe, engaging all of us in discussions and reflections, mixing ingredients such as feminist writings, care, inclusivity, safe places etc.

To the participants
We ask each participant to bring: one food item/vegetable and/or cooking tool. There are no limitations as to what you can bring, but the starting point of the dish we are cooking will be a tabbouleh. The workshop/presentation/colective cooking spectacle will in the end result in a recipe (toolkit) that we have edited together with the crowd, and that can be shared with all the participants.

The experimental film and installation by Felipe Castelblanco
(b. 1985, Bogotá) unfolds through a journey upstream along the Putumayo River in Colombia. This journey reveals a complex eco-social landscape extending from the jungle to the high mountains, where indigenous thought, trees, soils, temperature, light and shadow reveal new aesthetics, agency and forms of resistance. Departing from the base of the Amazon in the lower Putumayo to the high lands of the Colombian Andes, this project takes the viewer on a vertical journey aimed at exposing new relations between the under and upper worlds: from mining and oil extraction, new forms of sovereignty and even clouds as the natural shield against satellite surveillance and new colonialism.

The Putumayo and Nariño regions in the south west of Colombia are contested and rich landscapes, which for the last 400 years (or more) have embodied dispossession, cultural extermination, colonialism, drug wars and lately natural devastation due to resource-extracting interests. This region is a «residual space» so rich that it gives birth to the Amazon ecosystem. Also, its endangered history and native cultures are the key to a portal where parallel epistemologies of space, time, environmental justice and being-human exist.
