KASKO is proud to partner with the Organisation Visual Aids New York for Day With(out) Art 2025 by presenting, a program of six videos that forefront the experiences of drug users and harm reduction practices as they intersect with the ongoing HIV crisis.
The program features new work by Camilo Tapia Flores, Camila Flores-Fernández, Hoàng Thái Anh, Kenneth Idongesit Usoro, José Luis Cortés, and Gustavo Vinagre & Vinicius Couto.
A day of mourning and action that uses art to respond to the ongoing HIV and AIDS crisis, Day With(out) Art encourages museums, universities, museums, and art institutions to present related programming on or around December 1, World AIDS Day. Because AIDS is not over!
We will schedule our Screening on Sunday the 30st of November, and will run the programm twice: once in the evening as a compact session around 8 pm but also during the whole afternoon alternated by Dj-Sets by Radio Erleperle, to let it sink in and exchange, then dance and repeat almost ritually along the lines of “Bury your friends in the morning, protest in the afternoon, and dance all night.” – and repeat.

KASKO ist stolz darauf, mit der Organisation Visual Aids New York für Day With(out) Art 2025 zusammenzuarbeiten und ein Programm mit sechs Videos zu präsentieren, die die Erfahrungen von Drogenkonsumenten und Praktiken zur Schadensminderung im Zusammenhang mit der anhaltenden HIV-Krise in den Vordergrund stellen.
Das Programm umfasst neue Werke von Camilo Tapia Flores, Camila Flores-Fernández, Hoàng Thái Anh, Kenneth Idongesit Usoro, José Luis Cortés und Gustavo Vinagre & Vinicius Couto.
“Day With(out) Art” ist ein Tag der Trauer und des Handelns, an dem mit Hilfe von Kunst auf die anhaltende HIV- und AIDS-Krise reagiert wird. Museen, Universitäten und Kunstinstitutionen werden dazu ermutigt, am oder um den 1. Dezember, dem Welt-AIDS-Tag, entsprechende Programme zu präsentieren. Denn AIDS ist noch nicht vorbei!
Wir planen unsere Vorführung für Sonntag, den 30. November, und werden das Programm zweimal zeigen: einmal am Abend als kompakte Session gegen 20 Uhr, aber auch während des gesamten Nachmittags, abgelöst von DJ-Sets von Radio Erleperle, um alles sacken zu lassen und sich auszutauschen, dann zu tanzen und wieder zu trauern, fast rituell nach dem Motto “Bury your friends in the morning, protest in the afternoon, and dance all night.” – und dann wiederholen.
