Performancekunst kann nur Geschichte schreiben, wenn sie sich im Archiv weiterschreibt. ARCHIVES & BEYOND ist ein generationenübergreifendes Kunstprojekt über kollektive, feministische Arbeitsweisen ohne Hierarchien.
Im Zentrum steht die Re-Interpretation der Performance HAUSSaEGEN (Kampnagel Hamburg, 1995). In drei Phasen entsteht eine zeitgenössische Re-Performance:
1. Phase: Fr 21.2.25–So 23.2.25, Lichthof Theater Hamburg
2. Phase: Fr 22.8.25–Sa 23.8.25, Museum Tinguely Basel
3. Phase: Do 28.8.25–So 31.8.25, KASKO Basel
Aus Archivmaterialien entwickeln die Künstlerinnen neue performative Zugänge zu Themen wie Haus, Macht, Raum und kollektive Praxis. Jede reagiert individuell auf Aspekte der Originalproduktion.
In der dritten Phase im KASKO münden Artefakte aus dem gesamten künstlerischen Prozess in mediale Übersetzungen, untermalt von Performancefragmenten. Welche Inhalte sich ins Heute transmissionieren lassen, werden in einer Präsentation von Videoaufzeichnungen der ehemaligen Produktion HAUSSaEGEN und ARCHIVES & BEYOND 1 und 2 in der Ausstellung thematisiert und am Sa 30.8.25 innerhalb eines Podiums erläutert. Anschliessend werden die Artefakte in der Mediathek der HGK Basel FHNW öffentlich zugänglich und sichtbar gemacht.

Performance art can only write history if it continues to write itself into the archive. ARCHIVES & BEYOND is a cross-generational art project exploring collective, feminist working methods without hierarchies.
At its core is the reinterpretation of the performance HAUSSaEGEN (Kampnagel Hamburg, 1995). A contemporary re-performance unfolds in three phases:
1st Phase: Fri 21.2.25–Sun 23.2.25, Lichthof Theater Hamburg
2nd Phase: Fri 22.8.25–Sat 23.8.25, Museum Tinguely Basel
3rd Phase: Thu 28.8.25–Sun 31.8.25, KASKO Basel
Using archival materials, the artists develop new performative approaches to themes such as house, power, space, and collective practice. Each artist responds individually to aspects of the original production – enriched by choral, dialogical, or parallel elements.
In the third phase at KASKO, artefacts from the entire artistic process will be translated into media, accompanied by performance fragments. A presentation of video recordings of the former productions HAUSSaEGEN and ARCHIVES & BEYOND 1 and 2 in the exhibition will address which content has been transmitted into the present day and will be explained in a panel discussion on 30.8.25. The artefacts will then be made publicly accessible and visible in the HGK Basel FHNW media library.
